OFFICIAL SHOWCASE CONCERTS
The thirteen Official Showcase acts were chosen from a large pool of applicants and underwent two rounds of blind judging by panels of music professionals. The Conference organizers are very pleased with the accomplished, diverse and powerful music the judges have chosen to appear in this year's Official Showcase Concerts.
This amazing roster of artists will perform at the Friday and Saturday night Official Showcase Concerts on October 16-17 along with our 2015 Best of the West Artist honoree, legendary singer/songwriter Cris Williamson. As always, this line-up reflects the breadth of diversity offered in acoustic music today, representing both the traditional and the modern, with virtuoso instrumentalists and brilliant vocalists. A wide range of styles will be represented, as acts perform music that has been described as soulful Americana, folk and classical, traditional blues and swing, bluegrass and "newgrass," country, world music, and even a group that calls itself "chamber-folk"! You will hear story songs and instrumental rave-ups and songs that will make you laugh, songs that will make you cry, and songs that will make you think. Here is the schedule of performances for Friday and Saturday night, along with links for the artists:
Friday October 16, 2015:
