Here's a shout out to all FAR-West folks who are coming to Wintergrass this weekend Feb. 23-26 at the Bellevue Hyatt.
Wintergrass and SFS (The Seattle Folklore Society) have graciously provided us with a table again this year. This post is an open invitation to come join us at that table.
Share what's going on with you, find out about this year's conference (once again at the Bellevue Hyatt, October 5-8, 2017), see old friends, make new ones.
Help us spread the word to other Wintergrass attendees about what goes on at a FAR-West Conference. Learn about music camps, festivals and other events in the Northwest the rest of this year. Hear some great music, some of it from people who played on our own main stage last October (Mollie O'Brien and Rich Moore, Orville Johnson, Ben & Joe, for a start). Attend Vicki Ambinder's inspiring, intensive workshop, or Mollie O'Brien's or any of the many other great classes. Jam with folks of all ages and musical styles, all through the hallways.
Joe Craven (Best of the West 2009) will be there.
You should be there too.
There's a lot to do at Wintergrass, even if you don't play a lick of Bluegrass. The big stage shows and workshops require registration but all the hallway activity, jams, vendor booths and much more are open to the public and You Don't Need No Stinkin' Badges! (You might want to buy one though. because the talent lineup is pretty awesome). Parking is free on the weekend and some other times too.
WINTERGRASS THIS WEEKEND - Feb. 23-26
Come to the FAR-West/SFS table and join us in the fun.
