The Deadline to reserve a hotel room at the FAR-West group rate (a reduced rate of $149 plus tax [Single/Double]) is as soon as our guestroom block is full or Wednesday, Sept 26th, whichever comes first. So don't delay ... for those of you with late night showcases, plans to jam all night, or if you need to attend early morning workshops or volunteer duties, staying at the conference hotel will make your commute much easier and less stressful ... you will just be a few steps and an elevator ride away from where you need to be! You can book a room first and then search for a roommate by posting to the FAR-West discussion listserv and/or the FAR-West Friends Facebook group. Tote Bag Sponsor / Friday, August 31st: The FAR-West Tote Bag is a great way to get your name, CD, EP, showcase schedule, smiling face, logo, brand or any other promotional items out to your fellow folkies. Putting your logo on our tote bag is a shout-out to all attendees that you are someone to pay attention to. Program Book Artwork is due Friday, Sept 7th: Our Program Book is given to all conference attendees and is also used to promote FAR-West by our sponsorship committee year-round. Our conference program book includes a schedule of events happening throughout the weekend, information about showcases, the Best of the West Awards Ceremony, Networking Center exhibitors and a complete directory of all registrants. People keep and refer to these books long after the conference is over. Please consider placing a paid advertisement in the program book. Networking Center Tables & Contracts are due Wednesday, Sept 12th: The FAR-West Networking Center is more than just an "Exhibit Hall." It's the hub of business connections among performers, presenters and others at the conference. It’s the point where you have the greatest potential to meet the greatest number of conference attendees. A table will allow you to display information about your business, while also giving you a place to hold meetings. If you have music or videos to listen to, you can get electricity added to your table for an additional $10. You just need headphones so people can watch and listen without disturbing anyone else. And if you provide your own hotspot, you can access your youtube and website as well. The contract, contact info and more is at this link.
As a reminder, our 15th Anniversary conference will be held Oct 11th thru the 14th at the Warner Center Marriott, Woodland Hills, CA.
You might also want to arrive a day early so you can attend/perform at our Wednesday evening (Oct 10) open stage event at The Write-Off Room, located close to the conference hotel.
