FAR-WEST GUERRILLA SHOWCASE ROOM AT FOLK ALLIANCE 20O8 IN MEMPHIS FAR-West will be hosting a guerrilla showcase room at this year's International Folk Alliance Conference February 20-24, 2008 in Memphis. About participating in the STARS OVER THE WEST room: FAR-West is sponsoring every aspect of the room, including all fees, food and promotion - but this is a community effort. Those who requested showcase slots through our on-line system are expected to commit one hour of volunteer time to make this happen. This may mean running to the local store to pick up snacks, putting up flyers, hosting the room for an hour when you are not performing, or other tasks that might be necessary. Susan Mumma is our on-site coordinator, and will contact participants about their volunteer time. All showcasing artists must be registered for the Folk Alliance Conference. No exceptions.
