FAR-WEST ANNUAL CONFERENCE
2007 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Last year's FAR-West Annual Conference was held November 2-4, 2007 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington near Portland, Oregon.

THIS YEAR's schedule will be posted as soon as it is finalized, but should be somewhat similar to last year's schedule.

Sunday evening events: POST-CONFERENCE OPEN MIKE at 7pm; Artichoke Community Music will host a "pay or play" open mike at their facility, 3130 SE Hawthorne Blvd. in Portland, OR. Those not performing will pay $5 for admission.

POST-CONFERENCE RECEPTION hosted by Puget's Sound; 3-6pm at The Funky Church (www.funkychurch.com)

POST-CONFERENCE BASH with MJ Bishop, Nancy K. Dillon, Eliza Jane, and Colin Spring. Hosted by Puget's Sound Productions. $5 cover. 8pm at Alberta Street Pub (www.myspace.com/albertastreetpub)


Please note that only people registered for the conference will be permitted to attend and participate in the reception, meals, workshops, panel discussions, Main Showcases, Exhibit Hall, and mentoring sessions. Every artist showcasing at the conference MUST be registered.

Band / Arts Organizations for Folk Alliance Members

For purposes of the FAR-West Conference, a "Band" is two or more musicians who perform together on a regular basis. Band managers are not eligible for the discount unless they are also musicians performing with the band. An "Arts Organization" is a registered, non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion of folk music, folk dance or storytelling. Registrants must be members of the corporation's board of directors or responsible for booking performing arts events.

This is our first year to offer Online Registration and we have done our best to make it as complete as possible.
